Telunas Resorts - Private Island❤

Ohgosh how I miss writing here on this space. The past few weeks have been rather overwhelming for me... and not even the slightest bit of energy could get me up to do any work. But okay I like to pen happy thoughts on this space so it's time to get those negativity aside! :) 

Zac found out about this place while he was googling on short getaways from Singapore! It really looked pretty online so Zac and I made a trip to Telunas Beach Resort in mid July for our 2nd monthsary celebration~

To get to Telunas, book a round trip ferry to Sekupang, Batam. From there, the local guide from Telunas will be there to pick you up for your transfer to Telunas via a traditional wooden longboat!




At Telunas Resorts, there are 2 kinds - Beach Resort (Suitable for big gathering with a bunch of friends, it's kinda like chalets) & Private Island (this would be more intimate, better for couples or small families!).We chose the latter!


Had our lunch and welcome drinks before checking into the rooms!


And this is how the villa looks like!Super pretty yessssssss






There are only 14 or 15 of such villas at the Private Island... which means even when it is fully booked out when you're there.. you don't have to worry that you'll not be able to relax/being overcrowded cuz there's only so much people they can accommodate ;)

Both of us crashed immediately after checking in. Hahhaa sloths are us.Then woke up like evening-ish to explore the nearby areas!

And we came across this house by the dock, prolly owned by the locals!It kinda resemblence the Swan River Boat House in Perth yes??? Except that this looks less atas. Hahaha






Had dinner and that pretty much sums up our 1st day at Telunas!We were pretty damn tired the whole time. Hahaha


Day 2Missed the sunrise but at least I caught the pinkish sky. Sooo pretty.I miss waking up to this view :(





Because.. 'Eat Breakfast like a King'.





After breakfast, we took the complimentary boat shuttle to Beach Resorts~Well, if you stay at Private Islands, you can hop between the 2 islands. However, if you stay at Beach resorts, you can't visit Private Islands. It's private for a reason righttttt





And we did fishing!!!I actually fell asleep while fishing because it took forever for a fish to get on the bait :((But once you managed to fish your first fish, the rest subsequently came pretty fast!








Hahaha our first glory caught by Zac and it was also the biggest fish we managed to catch!The rest were all super tiny!

Back to Private island for our lunch~



hahah and those were the 5 fishes we caught! Pretty impressive since the tide was super high and it wasn't a good timing for fishing actually.



Then we took a dip in the infinity pool after lunch with our my fat belly lol




We also visited a waterfall at some other remote island near Telunas!




And the entire time during the boat ride, it felt like we were travelling in those Amazon river alike you'd always watch on documentaries?



To get to the waterfall, we got to trek for like.... 40mins??SUPER EXHAUSTING PLEASE. And the 100000000 mosquitoes attacking us were not helping at all >:(






Hahaha this cat is super lazy can!!Took this photo while we were otw to the waterfall... and when we came back from the waterfall (prolly 1.5hrs later), it was still laying there in the same exact position. LOL so cute!!








and erm my guts only allowed me to jump from the lowest rock. HeheheZac and I actually climbed to the highest rock la... but I backed out after seeing Zac jumped. I swear it took sooooo long for him to land inside the water. Hahhaahha





Managed to catch a glimpse of the sunset while we were on the way back to the villa!It'd be such a nice scene to be in if it was a perfect sunset :)







Pretty much chilled at the balcony, drinking and star gazing.The stars there are crazyyyyyy they are everywhere, like diamonds in the sky :)


Day 3Went kayaking!!Was a lil mad at the boy cuz he made me kayak from one island to the other grrrrrr. I thought the plan was to kayak to somewhere at the middle of the sea, and just.... stone there and chat/relax?? It was such a strenuous exercise early in the morning.



We didn't bring the camera to avoid it being wet, so had to make do with lousy phone cam~

Anyway here comes the tiring part.. we had to KAYAK BACK TO PRIVATE ISLAND. :(Really silently in my mind mentally stabbing Zac for kayaking all the way here. LOLOLLL
Anyway the tides got pretty strong halfway and luckily for us, the Telunas boatmen spotted us so they dragged us back to shore behind their speed boat :D phew


Had lunch and went back to beach resorts again cuz we wanted to take pictures at the beach!The beach over here is a lil nicer than the one at Private Island~

Took the tripod out we tried taking couple shots at the beach!!Bringing the tripod was really a good choice cuz both islands were pretty quiet. It was hard to find people to take pics for us!

We also had a in-villa massage cuz we were both dead tired from the Kayak session. Lol


Weather that day was fantastic and we managed to catch the prettiest sunset ever!!I think it's the first time I've seen such a gorgeous sunset without any buildings blocking it?? Gosh

And as usual, I had to do my routine nightly star gazing! I love it so much !!Managed to take a picture of the sky... not very visible but the bigger stars were captured on camera!


I even fell asleep at the balcony halfway while I was star gazing. lol

Day 4Crawled up and caught the sunrise!! It was totally worth waking up at 5.45am for it.

We were pretty sick of the American breakfast we had daily so we opted fried chicken rice that day!

It's really a great place for relaxation, away from all the busy hustle and bustle city life.Over here, expect ZERO connections. There are no TV, no wifi... nothing at all. Away from emails, work calls and what not. Well, I can't survive a day without social media so the both of us got ourselves a 3G card at the Sekupang ferry terminal. The connection was still pretty bad though, super duper slowwww.
I miss this place already and I hope to revisit Telunas soon again! :)
