On my radar: InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort

A friend mentioned a resort that I should be sure not to miss on my next trip to Danang. When it comes to travel, I trust this friend explicitly. She is Vietnamese and knows what's what. She was nearly speechless in her description of this resort and that does not happen often. She is a sharp shooter.. so..when she raved about the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, it went right onto my radar screen.  It is a luxury resort tucked away in a private bay of the Son Tra Peninsula. Far enough away to get away from the hustle and bustle of Danang and Hoi An yet close enough to be a part of it all whenever you like. I have been to Danang twice and thought we had seen it all...but not yet, we have just one more place to go. All I have to do is convince my other half. He brought home the brochure tonight so I would say things are looking up.

"Welcome to a place where myth meets luxury
Enter a world of poetic experiences and jungle-clad romance. Nestled on the rainforest slopes of the famous Son Tra Peninsula, with panoramic views of the East Sea and its own private bay, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort offers an enchanting journey into the cultural riches of this fascinating region.

The mastery of traditional Vietnamese design meets modern architectural flair in this distinctive retreat within the dense rainforest of mythical Monkey Mountain. Famed architect Bill Bensley has woven his magic throughout every space, crafting a resort that inhabits four levels- Heaven, Sky, Earth, Sea- linked by a funicular train climbing its way through the forested slopes."

They got me at welcome....
