*places left hand over heart, right hand in the air and repeats after the netizens* I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I will put aside my unwillingness to accept that my cute Kidols can sometimes be sexy. Now if you are new to the Kscene, let me begin by illustrating a few facts...Koreans don't have as many cultural hang-ups like most western cultures do. Case in point, men being feminine is quite common place over there and they are rarely accused of being gay. In fact, the word "pretty" is just as much for men, as it is for woman and the men who are termed "pretty" know it's actually a good thing. No man is every accused of being gay based solely off their looks and it's frustrating when we (western Kfans) have to continue to defend them and explain this to people who just....refuse to understand. *sigh* I'm going to go with caution and side-step that potentially dangerous ranting-landmine...for now...

Korean Celebrities who are often considered pretty will sometimes perform fan service by cross-dressing and this is usually a treat for their fans because we know all too well their true personas. Their pretty looks coupled with their naturally tiny waists leave many woman envious of their good genetics...as if my self-esteem wasn't damaged already by their male counterparts, they have to be pretty woman too??? So depressing...aigoo!

Moving on, the list below are the men who pull off the best cross-dressing. Let the fun begin!

First and foremost, the Kidol who fits this bill...is our very own SHINee member Taemin! I hesitate to say this but this Man-Boy has all the genetics to pull off being a woman but isn't afraid to show us just how manly he can be.

SHINee's maknae (*youngest member*) can't help being pretty but does he honestly have to rub it in our faces?! Aigoo...however, to avoid being completely type-casted as "Pretty Boy Taemin", every once in a awhile he surprises us and shows us his manly side. If I'm being honest, even though I wish he would stay the cute little maknae we all know and love, when Taemin breaks out the hot-manliness side of himself, it's definitely stomach-butterfly worthy!

I remember seeing that for the first time and thinking..Dear God, that's Taemin! What made it more impressive is how in sync they were! Taemin and BoA are both dancing Gods individually but together, well let's just say there could have been chemistry if BoA wasn't his senior by eight years (career wise)!

Leeteuk is the leader of Super Junior and this uber-manly Kidol makes even the prettiest woman weep with envy...

This one is an absolute given. He is known for being the prettiest man in all of Korea--in fact, I think the quote is "He looks as if he walked off the pages of a Manga" and indeed, he does! Hero Jae Joong is the very definition of Korean Sex Appeal, he lives, breathes and defines sexiness and he does it in a pretty little package! However, I would term his beauty as being "cold". The dark hair paired with the pale skin gives him a very vampirish look but the cold eyes-stern face is what makes him so ethereally beautiful. I'm going to eventually regret saying this but if Christian Grey (from 50 Shades of Grey) were Korean, this is about how I would imagine he would look.

Unfortunately Jae Joong has only ever crossed dressed once so finding a picture was not only difficult but it isn't even that great of a picture (I hate the wig they chose for him) however, I've also attached a picture of him with his normal hair but with a little make-up enhancement.

Last but certainly not least is our number 5 contestant. As a man...*barely conceals a cringe*...Lee Sung Jong gives off a very strong persona, especially considering he is only 19 years old...yeah... It goes without saying that he is very pretty in an understated manly way, but he challenges even Taemin's womanly charms!

Artist: Kim Hyun Joong

This guy has been around for awhile; debuting first as SS501's leader, he has since debuted as a solo artist and is quickly making a name for himself. He just completed his first Japanese Tour this year and has just released his Korean comeback album called "Round 3" which features the following song that is quickly gaining popularity! Give him a listen, he has a few songs on "Round 3" that are soulful, but definitely "Unbreakable" is my favorite.

KDrama: Boys Over Flowers

This Kdrama might as well be the "staple" drama of Korea. It's usually almost always one of the first Kdrama anyone sees. It's a very charming drama with multiple story arcs. It follows the character Jan Di who ends up attending a prestigious high school where she meets the F4 (a title that will follow these four men around for the rest of their careers, despite having built a name for themselves after this drama) and somehow finagles herself into their close-knit group. I chose this Kdrama because Kim Hyun Joong plays the second male lead which completely contrasts his Kpop Idol persona. It's a very good drama with very likeable characters. Give it a shot!
