Through the Lens: Spectators during the MassKara Street Dance Performance at the Bacolod City Public Plaza

The Masskara Festival in Bacolod City once again drew thousands of tourists from all over the Philippines and even from other parts of the world — just to witness one of the most colorful and "happiest" festivals showcasing street dancers clad in colorful costumes and beautifully-adorned masks.

I captured this shot when I took a rest on a park bench after covering the MassKara street dance competition (barangay category) from 1 in the afternoon till 9 in the evening. The Bacolod City Public Plaza got so crowded that others staked their claim in the surrounding trees just to watch the final performance.
